By creating an account or using Syncademia, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Syncademia.

If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

• You are responsible for keeping your password secure
• Do not share your account with others
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
• You are responsible for activity under your account

Important disclaimer about AI features

Syncademia uses artificial intelligence for Syncy, flashcards, Quest, study planning, and related tools.

• AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated
• AI may appear confident while being wrong
• AI is not a substitute for professional advice
• We do not guarantee accuracy of AI-generated content

Do not rely on Syncademia AI for:

• Medical diagnosis or treatment
• Legal advice
• Financial advice
• Any decision where accuracy is critical

You use AI features at your own risk and must verify outputs before acting on them.

Your ownership: You retain ownership of content you create or upload.

License to us: You grant Syncademia a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service.

AI processing: You grant permission to send your content to AI providers (see Privacy Policy) to deliver AI features.

You must not use Syncademia to:

• Violate laws or regulations
• Infringe copyright or intellectual property
• Upload malware or malicious code
• Harass, threaten, or harm others
• Attempt unauthorized access to our systems
• Scrape data without permission
• Use the platform for unauthorized commercial purposes
• Impersonate others or submit false information
• Generate harmful, illegal, or deceptive content with AI
• Circumvent subscription limits or access controls

We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law and suspend or terminate accounts for repeated violations. We do not pre-screen all user content.

We respect intellectual property. Report infringement via our DMCA Policy or content report form.

• Subscriptions bill monthly or annually in CAD unless stated otherwise
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period

• We may change prices with 30 days notice

We may suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations, fraud, non-payment, or prolonged inactivity (24+ months).

Upon termination, your right to use Syncademia ends. Data is handled per our Privacy Policy.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SYNCADEMIA IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE OR ACCURATE AI OUTPUTS.

IN NO EVENT SHALL SYNCADEMIA BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED AMOUNTS YOU PAID IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Disputes shall be resolved in Ontario courts.

We may update these Terms with 30 days notice via email or in-app notification. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
